The foot soldier released in the original line is based on the 1987 cartoon version. Due to packaging size the figure was given a hunched look with bent legs which makes them very hard to stand up, thanks Playmates! Unlike other original release 1988 figures, the foot soldier only came in a hard head version (along with April) but the original run had an 'A' on their butt and are quite rare. Many collectors like to army build these figures so they have become harder to come by.

The figure came with three weapons and a weapons rack in grey which is quite hard to find. Their knife is the same as the one that came with the 1988 Rocksteady, was used again for the the 1989 General Trag but in a blueish grey and again used for the 1993 Night Ninja Rocksteady this time in bright blue so make sure you have the right knife with each figure. The Electro-shock Mace are often broken due to the thin plastic cord.
